ALCOHOL & DRUGS
We equip drivers with the skills and answers helpful for any pre-employment testing. We provide corrective counseling and treatments for failed drivers. We also give administrative guidance on how to supervise drivers, such as how to properly approach a driver and respect his or her privacy. Topics include observation techniques, the common symptoms, and the necessary documentation.

ACCIDENTS
We teach drivers the strategies for handling accidents, including formal procedure. We will demonstrate the techniques for reporting and responding, as well as how to use emergency warning devices.
DEFENSIVE DRIVING
CJS will put drivers through a six-hour course approved by New York and New Jersey. This defensive driving course helps in understanding how to reduce points on your license and insurance premiums by using certain techniques to protect your vehicle.
SKID CONTROL AND RECOVERY
The road is dangerous, and we want nothing more for drivers to master the skills needed to stay safe. We will show you how to take control of your vehicle when problems occur. Drivers will learn about factors like the wheels' traction or the wheel load, as well as about where the skids begin, the types of skids, and the anti-lock brake system. Drivers will know how to safely recover and regain control.
STRAIGHT TRUCKS AND VANS
These vehicles have numerous safety restrictions, and we will demonstrate how to pass vehicle inspection as well as master the required driving techniques, such as making safe turns, backing up, and parking. We will also teach drivers how to handle driving in extreme weather and under other dangerous environmental conditions.
VEHICLE INSPECTIONS
We will comprehensively teach drivers the inspection procedures for commercial motor vehicles. Topics also include how to undergo inspection in the same order every day and how to fill out a DVIR.
HAZMAT
CJS will explain compliance expectations, beginning with understanding hazmat tables and appendixes. Drivers will learn how to master safe packaging, the careful loading and unloading of packages, and how to segregate loads. We also discuss how to comply with proper marking or labeling, placards, and shipping papers. Drivers will learn how to operate their vehicles securely to prevent disruptions, as well as how to respond when things go wrong. Finally, drivers will master incident reporting and proper emergency response.
NIGHT DRIVING
In order to minimize various accidents and crashes, we will teach drivers the dangerous nighttime factors and how to minimize their harmful effects.
COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE BASICS
As required by the DOT, we offer a course for entry-level drivers that covers topics of the driver's qualification, the driver's wellness, and the Whistleblower Protection Act.
CARGO SECUREMENT
Drivers will understand the securement system, its regulations, and how to control divergent components. Focusing on heavy vehicles, we will guide drivers on how to ensure the immobility of large and small equipment via the proper guides on machinery tie-downs.
MOCK DOT AUDITS
Drivers will need to know how to comply with applicable safety regulations, and we will provide the materials necessary for their mastery. Drivers will need their qualification files, records of duty status, and vehicle inspection report. They will also need information on alcohol and drugs, accident registers, hazardous materials (if applicable), and financial responsibility.
SPEED AND SPACE MANAGEMENT
Drivers will learn how to conquer the road safely, which requires a thorough understanding of how to space the vehicle and regulate its speed. Drivers learn how to stay clear of accidents, which includes topics of using mirrors to monitor traffic, braking distance, and the impact of road surfaces. Additionally, drivers learn how speed will affect them.
COUPLING & UNCOUPLING
We teach drivers the step-by-step procedure for safe coupling and uncoupling, including the hooking and unhooking of doubles.
BACKING TECHNIQUES
Learning how to safely drive in reverse is an essential skill. Drivers learn how to master the core elements and the most common maneuvers in backing vehicles.
EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS
Safety is always the primary concern for drivers. CJS will discuss how to handle dangerous weather conditions, such as driving on icy roads, in heavy rain and snow, or through dense fog. Divers also learn how to combat windy conditions, equipping them with the means for safe transportation.
ROAD RAGE
CJS teaches drivers the psychology behind their work, including tips on how to personally stay calm and in control when placed in frustrating situations or when provoked by other drivers.
ROAD WORK
Drivers learn how to maneuver their vehicles in tricky circumstances, including in and around construction zones. We focus on looking out for the special hazards so that they can safely cross into more secure territory.
RAILROAD CROSSINGS
Drivers learn the proper procedures for approaching and crossing railroad tracks, including the special requirements applicable when transporting hazardous material.
FORKLIFT TRAINING
When it comes to OSHA-certified techniques of safe mounting and dismounting of cargo, CJS will teach everything drivers need to know to be up to the latest standards.
