defensive driving course

Many employers don't realize the impact that a bad driver's record has on their business. A driver with a poor driving record can cause accident, personal injury, and property damage. This causes a dramatic impact on your bottom line, in hiring temporary employees, lower productivity, increased insurance premiums, and lawsuits.

The Benefits

Company Employees or Independent Drivers :
Save on personal vehicle insurance and receive a point reduction on their driving record.*

*Individual insurance and point reduction benefits vary by state.

What does the course entail?

The Safety Program Driver Improvement Course is a six hour classroom course, which uses behavior modification methodology to encourage defensive driving habits. Using multimedia techniques, a certified instructor will demonstrate the roles and responsibilities of the individual driver, traffic laws, fuel conservation and defensive driving. The course is presented in one or two sessions. There is no testing.

After completion, a certificate will be issued to the participants. Present this certificate to your insurance company to receive your discount.

The Safety Program will automatically notify the Motor Vehicle Services that you have completed the course and it will be noted in your driving record. In NJ, you may have up to 2 points subtracted from your accumulated point total and take the course once every five years for point reduction. In NY, up to 4 points can be deducted and the course repeated every 18 months for point reduction.
